For 60 euros Anker has the Soundcore Life Q20 a hot price-performance tip in the portfolio. The sound is convincing, the noise suppression as well. Best Buy!DISPLAY
The Anker company is doing a great deal right now. The specialist in charging electronics is constantly expanding its portfolio with the subsidiary brands Eufy and Soundcore. While Eufy takes care of the smart home, Soundcore – nomen est omen – offers products for more listening pleasure.
Since early August, the manufacturer has come up with an over-ear headphone with the Soundcore Life Q20 , which promises a lot: hi-res sound, active noise cancellation, soft leather upholstery, Buetooth 5 – and all for an EIA of just under 60 euros.
If Anker’s mouth is too full here? We wanted to know for sure and listened to the Soundcore Life Q20 extensively and sent it through our test lab.
The headset comes with a coated carrying case, plus a micro USB charging cable and an AUX cord in the box. The latter allows the use even with an empty battery – then, of course, without Active Noise Canceling (ANC). Made of thick foam, the rotatable ear cups sit comfortably and are covered with real leather. For transport, the eaves can be folded to save space.
A double press on the on / off switch on the right controls the bass – or back to the normal mode, which is completely sufficient for our taste. Our laboratory also states that the Soundcore Life Q20 is a bit bass-heavy in its tune and slightly distort the low frequencies at high volumes.
For the price range of 60 Euro is the sound that conjures anchor from the two 40-mm drivers, but first-class. It covers a frequency range from 16 Hz to 40 kHz and holds thanks to Bluetooth 5 stable the connection to the smartphone.
Telephone calls can also be made in good quality with the Life Q20.
Also noise cancellation convinced
The effective, very broadband noise suppression has also convinced our measurement technician. Anker uses four microphones that measure the outside noise so that the headphones can counteract accordingly. The function is easily activated by a separate button on the left auricle.
The runtime is the manufacturer with 40 hours in ANC mode, without noise suppression should be 60 hours in it. About the battery level informs an announcement when switching on. And if there is a need for a wife or a husband, according to Anker, five minutes are enough at the socket for another four hours of music.
If you are looking for a cheap headphone for sophisticated music enjoyment, this is the place for you.
